Submitting a new song :
After you have signed up for one of the packages, I will now show you how to get your songs distributed.
1. Go to client.songwritersportal.com and register. Once registered, login on the same page as you registered on.
2. You will be taken to the Client Support Portal. This is your own secured portal where you will upload songs for both pitching (if you purchased a membership) and distribution.
3. The difference in pitching and distribution is explained below:
a. If you purchased the package that includes both services, you can upload four songs per month. Those songs will be pitched to Music Industry Pros up to sixteen times per month. These songs are directly emailed to the Pros for evaluation.
b. If you only purchased a distribution package, your song(s) are submitted to over 150 digital streaming services.
4. Now, to get started on submitting your songs:

STEP 1: Submit the Form for each song.
1. While in your Client Support Portal:
Scroll down and you will see "Music Distribution", click on the image. You will be directed to the Upload Panel for the songs you wish to be distributed.
2. First, READ THE DIRECTIONS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE. This is very important!
3. Complete the form and click the SUBMIT button at the bottom. Do this for the number of songs you purchased for distribution. See the explanation for each field below.

1. Song Title - Required - Enter the Title of the Song.
2. Version - Required - Enter the version. If you are not using version numbers, enter something like v1.
3. Release Upload - Required - Click in the box and select your .mp3 file.
4. Release Artwork - Required - Click in the box and select your image file.
5. Artist(s) - Required - Enter the primary artist under the Name Column, choose a role from the dropdown in the Role Column. choose Primary Artist from the drop down in the Primary Artist Column, if you have a Store ID, enter it here or you can leave this field blank.
6. Label - Required - "Songwriters Portal International, LLC" will go in this field.
7. Barcode or Catalog No. - Not Required - If you have a barcode or catalog number for this release, enter one or both.
8. Text Language - Required - Select from the drop down.
9. Format Type - Required - Select from the drop down.
10. Price Band - Required - Select from the drop down.
11. Mood - Required - Select from the drop down.
12. Original Start Date - Required - Select the date.
13. Pre-Order Date - Not Required - Select the date.
14. Licensed Territories to Include - Required - Select from drop down.
15. Licensed Territories to Exclude - Not Required - Select from drop down.
16. (P) Year - Required - Select Year of Creation of Song.
17. (P) Holder - Required - Enter Name of Primary Owner.
18. (C) Year - Required - Select Year of Copyright.
19. (C) Holder - Required - Enter Name of Copyright Holder.
20. Main Genre - Required - Select from the drop down.
21. Other Sub Genre - Required - Enter the sub genre.
22. Explicit Content - Required - Select Yes or No.
23. Rights Type - Not Required - Select from drop down.
24. Services - Not Required - Select from drop down.
25. Click Terms and Conditions - Required - Read
26. Check I Agree.
27. Click Submit
The screen will reset and clear all fields. You can now enter another song.

STEP 2: Upload your songs and check the "For Distribution Box"
1. Click the Menu icon in the top right of the panel.
2. Click "Upload Songs". You will be directed to the "Upload Songs Panel."
Once again, "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!"
3. Enter the song name.
4. Click "Choose File" and select your .mp3 file.
5. Do not change the timestamp.
6. Leave the "Pitch Queue" as is for distribution.
7. Select the song's Genre from the drop-down box.
8. IMPORTANT !!! Check the box "If this song is for Distribution, be sure to check the box.
9. Paste your lyrics in the "Enter Lyrics Here" box.
10. Click "Upload Your Song"
11. You will see this page clear and a results page appear. Make sure there are no errors showing.
12. Click the button at the bottom and you will be returned to the "Upload Songs" panel where you can enter another song for upload.
That's it! Your song(s) have been submitted and are in the queue for distribution.
NOTE** - If you are not distributing songs, you will use this same panel "Upload Songs Panel" to upload your songs. After your songs have been uploaded, you can go to the menu icon and select "Song Status" to view the status of your songs.
